In the episode on the Xingu, <em>The Heart of the Forest<\/em>, filmed shortly before demarcation, the director asks if traditional rituals and celebrations were destined to become extinct.<\/p>\n<p>Anthropologist Robert L. Carneiro lived among the Kuikuro in the 1950s and 1970s.
