The Rio invented by Samba
A reconstitution of the cultural scene that produced and consolidated urban samba between 1910 and 1940. Recordings, documents, and objects from the collections of the IMS and other institutions also show how this network of solidarity, spirituality, and music spreads itself into the contemporary scene.
